14... Finally!
Yesterday was my birthday for those of you who do not know. It's always great to have my birthday right after Thanksgiving;everyone is already in town, and I usually get to have pecan, pumpkin, or other kinds of pie (which is probably my favorite dessert). This year, like every year, I celebrated twice: once at my dad's house, once at my mom's. I ate some cake, opened presents, that sort of thing, but I think the highlight was getting to go to the temple the weekend of my birthday.I went to do baptisms for the dead with my dad, Grandpa Stock and Weight, Savannah, Nathan, Matt and Seth. The spirit you feel At the temple is so unique. It seems more personal than when you feel it at church or when reading your scriptures. It speaks to you in a peaceful reassuring manner. It fills your heart with love. I felt like I wanted to hug every one I saw in the temple! The temple is the Lord's house;a safe haven for his children. It is a place to contemplate life's questions, ponder over spiritual or temporal problems, it is a place to receive revelation and a renewed perspective. If the temple is anything like heaven,I can't wait to go there! Now, before I sign off, I guess I should tell you what I am typing this from... A new iPod touch!!! Yep, thanks to the gracious donations (aka gifts from family members) from some very special people, I was able to purchase an iPod touch! It is purty awesome!!! Well, gotta go!

I am very happy that you enjoyed your birthday, and the trip to the temple. It was the highlight of my week as well. I am so pleased with the choices you make and with the results of your commitment. Keep up the good work. I love you and miss you.
You never seem to amaze me. Your level of maturity is admirable. What a spiritual tower you are. I am so PROUD (we were told we could use that word) of you and what you have been and are evolving into as a young women. What a GREAT Grand daughter YOU are! XOXOXO Grandpa & Grandma W8
