I have no new writing material or news, so I'm going to share an entry from my English journal I keep at school. We write in it three days a week, though, most entries are boring ol' essays that we did to prepare for the Writing Profiecency Exam (which was a couple of weeks ago). Still, every week we get to have a "Free Write Friday"(we get to pick what we write) and this is a poem I wrote on one of those days....
It tells the unfortunate story of someone who couldn't think for themselves. I know, random...
I sit under water and wait.
I sit and wait to see my fate.
Will I die here all alone beneath the depths of the sea?
Or will a lonely fisherman row by to set me free?
I am stuck, surrounded by the chilling blue.
Though, of my exact location I have no clue.
My head is spinning, my lungs are red!
They said this was a safe place, exciting place they said!
I can't believe they tricked me; the people I call friends,
from now on (if I live) I'll be sure not to follow trends.
Thanks for reading! Make sure you come back every week for more G.R.E.A.T stuff! Sorry I didn't post anything last week; I was sick. Like cold, fever, and tonsil infection sick. You probably wouldn't have wanted to read anything I wrote while sick anyways... :)
